All-weather RNLI Lifeboat Model Released!

The 2nd in the series of Lifeboat Collectables RNLI model figurines has been released!

The All-weather RNLI Lifeboat Model accurately details the lifesaving equipment worn by today’s ALB lifeboat crews. Each RNLI lifeboat model figure is exquisitely detailed and hand crafted in the UK to the highest quality finish in pewter.

The modern RNLI crew PPE comes from over 150 years of development and is essential for the safety and lifesaving ability of any crew member that goes to sea. In the early days of the RNLI a lot of crew lost their lives because they didn’t have the technology and crew equipment that is available today. Its evolution along with the development of faster and more manoeuvrable lifeboats that are in service today, have all significantly increased the capability of the RNLI lifeboat fleet and crews to help save more lives at sea.

1990 marked the last time the RNLI introduced a new all-weather lifeboat (ALB) crew kit. Now, after almost three decades, three iterations, and thousands of lives saved, the RNLI partnered with Helly Hanson and developed this technologically advanced and modernised version of the ALB crew PPE.
